Established in 1875 by our founder Thomas R Ellin, we continue to offer quality Sheffield made tools at affordable prices. Whilst many companies have switched manufacture from the UK to the Far East in recent years, we pride ourselves on our 130 year history of manufacturing in Sheffield.

Footprint manufacture a wide range of hand tools which adhere to exacting and rigorous standards. With this reputation, Footprint provides the United Kingdom and some 80 countries around the world with value for money hand tools for both the professional and DIY markets.

We continue to control our own forging, heat treatment, machining and grinding operations in house, enabling us to be able to stamp the world famous words “Made in Sheffield” on 95% of our tools.
